Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental health is an important consideration for businesses and organisations in every sector. That is why we have partnered with The Inclusion Initiative to bring you mental health first aid training for your workplace.

The Inclusion Initiative's instructors are approved by Mental Health First Aid England.

We have done the training ourselves and we can personally recommend it.

What is mental health first aid?

The Mental health first aid course teaches people how to spot the signs of mental ill health and teaches them what to do as a first step to help.

It does not teach people how to diagnose and treat mental ill health, but it shows them how to offer immediate support and how to listen and reassure until the appropriate professional help can be received. It teaches attendees how to respond to the signs of mental ill health, in the same way that physical first aid responds to physical illness and injury.

How does mental health first aid training help?

MHFA training has been shown to:

  • Raise awareness of mental health issues.
  • Reduce the stigma around mental health.
  • Enable early intervention, which is proven to help recovery from mental ill health.
  • Increase knowledge and confidence in supporting colleagues and associates with mental health.
