We are proud to be accredited to teach both the Level 5 Certificate and Diploma in Effective Coaching and Mentoring, which will help you to unlock the potential in your people and increase productivity through today’s best practice in coaching and mentoring.
Who is this for?
This qualification is ideal if you are:
- A manager who needs to coach and mentor staff as a part of your day-to-day role.
- Moving into a role where you’ll be responsible for staff development.
- Starting a career as a freelance coach or mentor.
What will I learn?
You can study for a Certificate or a Diploma.
For both qualifications you will study these two mandatory units:
- Understanding the skills, principles and practice of effective management coaching and mentoring so that you can understand the role and contribution of coaching and mentoring and build a business case.
- Reviewing your ability as a management coach or mentor, giving you the ability to critically review your personal skills, qualities and competence.
For the Certificate, a third unit asks you to demonstrate your ability to plan, deliver and review at least 12 hours of coaching and mentoring.
For the Diploma, you will need to demonstrate your ability over 100 hours and with multiple people. There is also an added focus on using supervision and reflective review to develop your own practice.
How long will it take me to qualify?
The Level 5 Certificate will take 4 to 6 months and the Diploma will take 10 months.
What are my study options?
You can choose from our Professional, or Immersive study plans. You have the freedom to study in a way that suits your lifestyle and the way you like to learn.
Professional
Professional comes as close as possible to the experience of studying in college. You will be placed in a group of students and a tutor will deliver webinars in an online classroom with structured feedback and discussion. You will get a timetable showing exactly when you will be studying. Student Care is also available if you need it.
Immersive
Immersive gives you a one-to-one learning experience personalised for you. Your private tutor provides coaching, guidance and support and you set the pace and agree your own timetable. It is ideal if you want to learn and qualify quickly or if you have been out of studying for some time and want to build up your confidence.
