If you are an employer with a wages bill of more than £3 million a year, you must pay the Apprenticeship Levy.
But if your wages bill is less than £3 million a year, and you do not pay the levy, you can still develop your employees with the Government’s help. You will pay just 5% towards the cost of training and assessing an apprentice. The Government will pay the rest up to the funding band maximum.
