Alison Bennett

I’ve worked with Busec Nova since 2016. Having achieved my own CIPD qualifications through the assessment route I understand the challenges our students face and I can support them when they are feeling uncertain or finding it hard to ‘see the wood for the trees’.

I’m an old romantic at heart and my favourite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. If I had to pick a favourite film, I’d say Witness with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis. It gets me every time!

My background is in HR. I’ve worked across a range of sectors including food manufacturing, healthcare and education.

A major project I worked on introduced me to the power of coaching and its potential to bring about lasting change.

In 2008, I set up my own coaching, mentoring and conflict resolution practice and it has been a privilege to work with a wide range of different organisations across the public, private and charitable sectors.

What motivates me is seeing people achieve their potential and go beyond what they thought was possible. The values that drive me are compassion, integrity, courage and perseverance.

When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with people, hearing their stories and sharing their journeys. It often involves a dog walk, a cup of tea and occasionally singing!
