I joined Busec Nova in 2011 and I really enjoy supporting people so they can achieve what they want and need on their own terms. My aim is to help make life work for people, balancing everything to find a happy medium while maintaining focus on the things that matter most.
In 1993, I gained a First Class BA (Hons) in Performance Arts Administration and spent 20 years working in the arts sector. After that, I branched out and trained as an EFQM Business Excellence Model assessor and spent several years assessing and consulting nationally and internationally across sectors. During this time I developed a special interest in how organisations recruit, retain, manage, involve and engage people to deliver a balanced bottom line of business results.
More recently, I’ve developed a portfolio of small business clients for whom I provide support and coaching.
Outside of work, I enjoy pilates and have taken up boxing, which is unexpectedly good fun and great for keeping fit. I enjoy volunteering in my local community and lobbying local politicians and council officers to ensure no-one gets left behind, particularly in relation to regeneration and housing issues. Along with my neighbours, I plan and manage an annual community picnic and family fun day in the local park. I’m also Clerk to the Board of Governors at a school for students with speech and language disabilities.
