Susan Hickman

Having worked in HR for over 15 years and achieving Chartered Fellow status of CIPD in 2011 I took the opportunity in 2012 to become a college lecturer teaching, assessing and becoming programme manager for CIPD 3, 5 and 7. Teaching large groups in cold lecture halls till 9pm at night I empathised with my students as I, too, had studied for all my CIPD qualifications back in the late 90s and early 00s via evening classes whilst doing my full time job which culminated in being a Head of HR.

It wasn’t until 2021 that I achieved my next personal goal of finding a role where I could give more individualised support to keen learners and that is when I became part of the BN team. I thrive on personalising the learning and development journey, truly getting to know the student and feeling as if we are shoulder to shoulder on our 2 year journey together.

For me, this is no longer a job but a joy and I love to share my knowledge and experience whilst acting as a coach/mentor for those that sign up to Busec Nova and are allocated to me.
