How we started
Your Trusted Distance Learning Centre for CIPD and ILM Qualifications.
Busec Nova is an independent education centre specialising in flexible distance learning designed for busy professionals balancing work and life commitments.
Before the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD) became the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in 2000, we were already delivering high-quality training for IPD qualifications. Since then, we have proudly maintained our status as a CIPD-approved centre, supporting learners to achieve industry-recognized HR and L&D qualifications. Successfully reaching CIPD platinum service in 2025.
Expanding our offerings, we now provide professional development courses from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), including new Level 5 and Level 7 Coaching and Mentoring qualifications, designed to help you grow your leadership skills and advance your career.

How we work
Our community of tutors, the learning team, and professional services team members work collaboratively to support you to reach your full potential. Many of our team are senior, qualified professionals with experience that encompasses both private and public sectors, the military, and the creative industries.
We understand the challenges of studying when you have work, family life, and other responsibilities to juggle. We have been there. We get it. We will listen and suggest ways of overcoming the issues that could otherwise derail your study success. If you need help overcoming challenges to boost your professional qualifications and build your career, talk to us.
We have designed in-house learning support that considers the different needs of learners. We consider individual circumstances at work and home and can make changes to our delivery to support neurodiverse learners. Our core team are all Mental Health First Aiders to add to the support and care we can provide for students.
Quality Delivery
Evidence of the quality of our teaching and support is shown, amongst other things, in our Level 7 exam pass rate .
Students who sat exams as part of their Level 7 qualifications in January 2021, achieved a 100% pass rate in the Human Resource in Context exam module and 93% in Leading and Managing People module. National averages were 68% and 74% respectively.
This success was due to the quality of our workshops where prepared our students for their exams in small groups with our highly experienced Tutors and Programme Managers.*
We offer the same support and quality across all our deliveries and tutoring support.
*CIPD 2021 new qualifications do not require exams.
